Tests:

-There will be test corrections and retakes/makeups available for every test

-Test corrections will happen the next day and will be an opportunity for students to catch and correct any errors that they may have made the day before, but will only improve the grade by 10%.

-Retakes/Makeups will be a different version of the original test and will only occur during lunch time (it is your responsibility to come in to do makeups, I will NOT come find you!)

-No Student will earn lower than a 50% on a test.

Grade:

-Students grades will be made up of two categories and will be worth the following percentages:

  1. Classwork/Homework →   40%

  2. Tests/Quizzes →   60%

Tickets:

Students will earn at least one ticket everyday for showing up to class on time. Students can earn additional tickets for different positive behaviors. Tickets can be redeemed for different things. For example, If a student needs to go to the bathroom they can use a ticket. If they forgot their pencil they can “buy” one with tickets. There are also other incentives that students can save up for like homework passes, snack passes and other special privileges.

Discipline Policy:

“Three strikes you’re out”

1st offense: Warning

2nd offense: Conversation

3rd offense: Office/Detention/Call Home

This will be how I handle disruptions and disrespect. I will not be tolerant of students taking the learning opportunities away from their peers. Everyone who shows up ready to learn, deserves to learn.
